- Temple opens at 5:30 AM — arrive by 6 AM to ensure a short queue. Later in the morning, queues can stretch to 1–2 hours
- Dress code: Dhoti is mandatory for entry into the Garbha Griha (inner sanctum). Dhotis are available for rent outside the temple at nominal cost. Men in trousers or shorts are not permitted inside the sanctum
- Women are permitted up to the Garbha Griha entrance but not inside the innermost sanctum
- Avoid visiting on Mondays (Somavar) and Maha Shivratri — these are the most crowded days with queue times of 4–6 hours
- For a proper puja experience, book Rudrabhishek in advance through the Trimbakeshwar Temple Trust official website — slots fill up quickly on auspicious dates
- Photography inside the temple premises is restricted — check with the security at the gate
